Your first invoice scan
Start with a spreadsheet of invoice balances. Save it as a CSV file: a plain file of rows and columns. You do not need a bank login.

Your first-scan checklist
- Export invoices you are allowed to use.
- Keep the six fields below. Remove personal details.
- Create a workspace and save its private key.
- Choose your CSV. Match columns if asked. Run your scan.
- Check each finding against your own billing records.
What each column means
- id
- A unique invoice code, such as INV-001. Use 1–100 ASCII letters, numbers, dots, dashes, underscores or colons; one row per invoice. Do not put a person’s name here.
- status
- open, past_due, part_paid, paid or void. Paid and void invoices must have a zero balance. Leave out uncollectible or written-off invoices; do not map them to open.
- balance
- Money still owed, such as 125.50. Use a decimal point, no currency sign, and no negative amounts. This is not the original invoice total.
- currency
- USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, AUD or NZD. Amounts in different currencies stay separate.
- due_date
- The date payment was due, such as 2026-01-31. Use a real calendar date in YYYY-MM-DD format. In the mapper, choose MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY explicitly for slash dates.
- last_payment_date
- The date of the most recent payment. Required for part_paid; otherwise it may be blank. It cannot be in the future.
Different column names? We help you match them.
The guided mapper runs in your browser. Match “Invoice Number” to id and “Amount Due” to balance. Choose the date and amount formats, then confirm what each status means. Extra columns are removed before upload. Remove sensitive fields from the file yourself before choosing it.
What to leave out
No names, emails, addresses, bank or card details. PDF, Excel workbook and image files are not accepted: save as CSV first. Subscription events, contracts, credit notes and payment histories are not supported by these two checks. Use 1–500 rows and a file no larger than 256 KB.
The original CSV is not stored. Reports and finding evidence remain until workspace deletion. Data and backup details.
